Free Internet Safety Workshop

Parenting wired (or soon-to-be-wired) kids can be difficult, especially if we aren't familiar with these technologies. National Centers for Missing and Exploited Children is presenting a FREE 45 minute workshop presentation for parents, guardians, and communities of children aged 5-17

WEDNESDAY 9/26 at 7pm in the Klem South School Library

The workshop is designed to introduce audiences to the main online risks and basic Internet safety concepts.  Topics covered will include cyberbullying, revealing too much information, sexting, and online predators.  Audiences are also encouraged to establish rules and guidelines at home, to communicate with their children, and to consider filtering and monitoring options.

Bring your neighbors, parents, childcare givers and friends. You can even bring the kids. Childcare will be provided.

Please RSVP so we can best prepare for the evening.
